Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour Spoon and leveled
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder For lift and fluffiness
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon Adds warm spice flavor
  • 1 cup whole milk Room temperature
  • cup unsalted butter Melted and slightly cooled
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Packed
  • 1 cup overripe bananas Mashed (about 2 medium bananas)
  • ½ cup chopped pecans Optional for topping or mixing

  • 2 Mixing bowls For wet and dry ingredients

  • 1 Wire cooling rack To keep waffles crisp

Method
 

  1. Turn your appliance on to medium-high heat and let it warm up completely.
  2. Peel the overripe fruit and crush it vigorously with a fork in a medium bowl.

  3. Whisk the milk, melted butter, eggs, brown sugar, and mashed fruit together until the mixture looks completely uniform.
  4. Sprinkle the flour, baking powder, and ground cinnamon over the wet mixture and stir gently with a flexible spatula.

  5. Pour batter onto greased grates and cook for three to four minutes until steam stops escaping.

  6. Remove cooked pieces carefully and place them directly on a wire cooling rack.
