- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, then grease lightly.
- Melt butter and stir in brown sugar until smooth, let cool slightly, then whisk in eggs and vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt, then fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Spread about two thirds of the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter until it forms a thick paste, then drop spoonfuls over the batter and swirl with a butter knife.
- Drop remaining batter by spoonfuls over the cinnamon layer and gently spread to cover most of the surface.
- Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs.
- While bars cool, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and pourable.
- Let bars cool for 15 minutes, then drizzle glaze generously over the top while still slightly warm.
- Let cool completely, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes
The key is swirling the cinnamon filling instead of mixing it in completely. I stirred it throughout my first time and lost the pretty swirl pattern. Drop spoonfuls and swirl with a knife for those beautiful ribbons.
