Ingredients
  

  • 1 wedge fresh lime For rimming the glass
  • 1 tablespoon chili-lime seasoning (Tajín) For the rim
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice Freshly squeezed only
  • 3 dashes hot sauce Cholula or Tapatío preferred
  • 2 dashes Worcestershire sauce Adds deep umami flavor
  • 3 ounces Clamato juice Chilled
  • 12 ounces Mexican lager beer Very cold
  • ice cubes To fill the glass

Equipment

  • 1 pint glass For serving
  • 1 Small plate For rimming seasoning
  • 1 long spoon For stirring

Method
 

  1. Run a fresh lime wedge around the edge of a pint glass, then dip it into chili-lime seasoning to coat the rim.

  2. Fill the glass completely with ice, then add the fresh lime juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
  3. Pour in the Clamato juice and stir gently to combine the flavors.

  4. Slowly top the glass with the cold Mexican lager, garnish with a lime wheel, and serve immediately.

Notes

You can mix the tomato base ahead of time and store it in the fridge. Only pour the beer right before serving to keep the carbonation fresh.
