Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl until fully combined.

  3. Beat the softened butter, peanut butter, half cup granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl until fluffy.

  4. Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and mix until smooth.
  5. Pour the dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir gently until no dry flour remains.
  6. Scoop the dough into small balls, roll them in the extra granulated sugar, and place them on the baking sheets.

  7. Bake for eight to ten minutes until the edges are set and slightly cracked.
  8. Remove from the oven, wait two minutes, and gently press an unwrapped chocolate candy into the center of each cookie.

Notes
