Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf angel food cake Cut into one inch cubes
  • 4 cups mixed fresh berries Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries
  • 1 box instant vanilla pudding mix Standard 3.4 oz box
  • 2 cups cold milk Whole milk preferred
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream Whipped to stiff peaks

Equipment

  • 1 trifle bowl Glass preferred for visibility
  • 1 Mixing Bowl For preparing the pudding
  • 1 Whisk To mix the pudding and milk

Method
 

  1. Whisk the vanilla pudding mix and cold milk together in a large bowl until thickened.

  2. Fold the whipped heavy cream gently into the thickened pudding mixture until combined.
  3. Place a single layer of cubed angel food cake at the bottom of a large glass trifle bowl.

  4. Spread a third of the pudding mixture over the cake, pushing it to the edges.

  5. Add a generous layer of mixed berries, making sure they touch the sides of the glass.
  6. Repeat the layering process with cake, pudding, and berries until the bowl is full, finishing with berries on top.
  7. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving.
