Ingredients
  

  • 2 racks pork baby back ribs Silver skin membrane removed
  • ¼ cup dark brown sugar Packed firmly
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika For outdoor wood-fired flavor
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce Plus more for serving

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove the tough silver skin membrane from the back of the ribs and pat the meat entirely dry with paper towels.

  2. Combine the brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Rub the spice mixture generously and firmly over both sides of the ribs.

  3. Place the seasoned racks on large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil and seal tightly to create airtight pouches. Bake on a rimmed baking sheet for 2.5 hours until the meat is very tender.

  4. Carefully remove the ribs from the foil, discard the excess liquid, and brush a thick layer of barbecue sauce over the top. Broil for 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce is deeply caramelized and sticky.

Notes
