Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted Warm but not piping hot
  • 1 cup granulated sugar For structure and sweetness
  • 2 large eggs Room temperature
  • ½ cup Dutch processed cocoa powder Sifted to remove lumps
  • ½ cup all purpose flour Spoon and leveled
  • ¼ teaspoon salt Balances the sweetness
  • 4 full sheets graham crackers Broken into rough pieces
  • 2 cups large marshmallows For the gooey topping
  • 2 bars Hershey's milk chocolate bars Broken into segments

Equipment

  • 1 eight by eight inch baking pan Light colored metal preferred
  • 1 Mixing Bowl Large enough for the batter
  • 1 Whisk For combining wet ingredients

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line an eight by eight inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. Whisk the melted butter and granulated sugar together in a large bowl until the mixture is glossy.

  3. Add the room temperature eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Fold in the sifted cocoa powder, flour, and salt just until no dry streaks remain visible.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for twenty five minutes until the edges pull away.
  6. Top immediately with graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate pieces, then bake for five more minutes until golden.
