Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces blanco tequila Use a good quality, 100% agave tequila
  • 2 ounces fresh grapefruit juice Freshly squeezed is highly recommended
  • ½ ounce fresh lime juice Adds brightness and acidity
  • ½ ounce agave nectar Adjust to your preferred sweetness
  • 2 ounces sparkling water For topping off the glass
  • 1 pinch coarse salt For rimming the glass
  • 1 slice fresh grapefruit For garnish
  • ice cubes Enough to fill the glass

Equipment

  • 1 highball glass Or any tall cocktail glass
  • 1 Citrus juicer For the grapefruit and limes
  • 1 Bar spoon For stirring

Method
 

  1. Rub a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and dip it into the coarse salt.
  2. Pour the tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, lime juice, and agave nectar into the prepared glass.

  3. Stir the mixture well to ensure the agave nectar is fully dissolved.

  4. Fill the glass completely with ice cubes and top with sparkling water.

Notes
