  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk One standard can
  • 1.5 teaspoons maple extract Do not substitute with maple syrup
  • 1 cup chopped pecans Toasted and divided
  • 1 pinch flaky sea salt Optional, to enhance flavor

Method
 

  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal.

  2. Place white chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk into a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 30-second intervals, stirring vigorously until completely smooth.

  3. Stir the maple extract, sea salt, and half of the chopped pecans into the warm chocolate mixture until well combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan, smooth the top with a spatula, and gently press the remaining pecans onto the surface.

  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully firm, then lift out using the parchment paper and slice into squares.
