Ingredients
  

  • 4 bags black tea bags Use a high-quality brand you enjoy
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries Washed, hulled, and sliced
  • cup honey Adjust to taste depending on berry sweetness
  • 6 cups filtered water Divided use for tea and syrup
  • 4 sprigs fresh mint For garnish
  • ice cubes For serving

Equipment

  • 1 heat-safe pitcher For brewing tea
  • 1 Saucepan For simmering syrup
  • 1 Fine mesh strainer For removing fruit pulp

Method
 

  1. Boil 4 cups of filtered water and pour over the black tea bags in a heat-safe pitcher.

  2. Let the tea steep for exactly 5 minutes, then remove the bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  3. Combine the sliced strawberries, honey, and remaining 2 cups of water in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

  4. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the berries are very soft and the liquid is deep red.
  5. Pour the hot mixture through a fine-mesh strainer into a bowl, pressing gently to extract the syrup.
  6. Stir the cooled strawberry syrup into the room-temperature tea and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

  7. Serve in tall glasses filled with ice, garnished with a fresh mint sprig.

Notes
