  • 1 cup fresh strawberries Diced and patted dry
  • ½ cup heavy cream Cold
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar For the glaze
  • 2 tablespoons milk For the glaze

Method
 

  1. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Grate your frozen butter directly into the bowl of dry ingredients and toss gently.

  3. Add your diced berries into the bowl and toss lightly to coat in flour.
  4. Pour the cold heavy cream and vanilla extract over the dry mixture and stir gently until a shaggy dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough out, pat into an eight-inch circle, cut into eight wedges, and transfer to a baking sheet.

  6. Bake in a preheated 400F oven for 18 to 22 minutes until golden brown.
