- Process the chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor until they resemble coarse potting soil.
- Beat the softened cream cheese and butter in a large bowl until completely smooth and fluffy.
- Whisk the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk in a separate bowl until it thickens slightly.
- Fold the thickened pudding into the cream cheese mixture, then gently fold in the thawed whipped topping.
- Spread a layer of cookie crumbs in the bottom of a serving dish, followed by the creamy pudding mixture, repeating until finished.
- Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least two hours before decorating with gummy worms and serving.
